Lauren Jauregui Drops Soul-Bearing New Single, "Colors" From Her Upcoming Debut Solo Project
Where to listen: Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, etc.
On Friday, Oct. 8, musician Lauren Jauregui released "Colors", the first single off her upcoming solo debut project titled "PRELUDE."
With the use of sultry tones and R&B-influenced rhythm, Jauregui creates an emotional and soul-bearing return to music, after not releasing a solo project since 2020. Jauregui describes the song as "a literal conversation" and a very personal one she was having with herself. She has identified this era of music as one where she was able to take full creative control and be independent.
There has yet to be an official release date announced for "PRELUDE," but according to Jauregui, it is coming sooner than we think. And if it is anything like the lead single, we can expect a captivating project.

Kim Kardashian West Hosts Saturday Night Live!
Where to watch: Hulu
On Saturday night, Kim Kardashian West showed her comedy chops while making her hosting debut on Saturday Night Live.
It is undeniable that if SNL wanted to take some clear shots at the different scandals and headlines the reality star has contributed to, it would not be a difficult task. However, West showed how good of a sport she truly was and really leaned into the comedic gold her career has inspired over the years.
From poking fun at her shapewear line, "SKIMS", which has had its fair share of controversy to addressing her public separation from rapper and fashion designer, Kanye West, the host of the night made a refreshing appearance alongside musical guest, Halsey.
And yes, of course, Mrs. West hosting Saturday Night Live was met with heaps of backlash, including threats of boycotting the episode entirely. However, her hosting actually boosted ratings and was met with audiences being pleasantly surprised by her performance. Either way, people were talking and that's the Kardashian way.

Paris Fashion Week Continues!
Where to see: Vogue Runway
Paris Fashion Week continued through last week and some themes have been noticed, as well as the certain styles that are making it down the runway. Skin, skin, and more skin!
What is being traced to the COVID-19 lockdown, are more exposing fashion styles that people have been craving after being stuck in their house and the sweats for way too long. From exposed midriff to short hemlines, it is clear sexy, whatever one may define that is, will always be in style.
As designs gave a reminder as to how society was unable to express themselves through fashion for so long, Paris fashion Week was closed out with a very real reminder that this pandemic is far from over. The week finished with a tribute to the late designer, Alber Elbaz who passed from Covid-19 in April. While it is amazing for fashion to be celebrated in this way again and also be conceptualized in a way to capsulate this time in history, it is beyond important to acknowledge who was lost through it.
